The Duke of Sussex jokes regarding President Trump came at back-to-back high-profile public appearances

Prince Harry took aim at Donald Trump for the second time in 48-hours on Friday night.

The Duke of Sussex delivered jokes about the US President in separate public appearances last week.

Harry appeared as a surprise speaker at a British American Business Council gathering in Santa Monica on Friday, just hours after the World Cup draw had taken place.

The royal quipped that football supporters would need to "behave, get through customs and past ICE" to attend next year's World Cup.

His quip about immigration enforcement drew hoots of laughter from the assembled guests, delivered on the same day that President Trump attended the World Cup draw.

Harry also addressed the upcoming tournament's British contingent, noting that England and Scotland have already secured their places, while Wales and Northern Ireland still face play-off matches.

"The British are coming, hungry for victory and they're thirsty," he told the audience, continuing his light-hearted tone throughout the speech.

Two days earlier, Harry's television appearance saw him take a swipe at the President by declaring that America had "elected a King" — a clear nod to the "No Kings" demonstrations held by left-wing protesters in October opposing Trump and his administration.

The remark prompted boos from the studio audience, though Harry pressed on with further criticism.

He also took aim at CBS, the network broadcasting the programme, for agreeing to settle what he described as a "baseless" lawsuit brought by the President.

The broadcaster had faced legal action from Trump, with Harry openly questioning their decision to reach a settlement.

The US President has not responded to Harry's latest jokes.

Earlier this year, President Trump stated he would not pursue deportation of the duke despite questions over drug use admissions in his memoir and whether these were disclosed on visa applications.

The US President declared he had no intention of "throwing out" Harry, remarking: "I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible."

Friday's speech also featured Harry joking about American towns named after British cities, including Boston, Manchester and Birmingham, expressing bemusement at why early settlers chose names that reminded them of home.
