A new report has claimed a fresh breakdown in communication has taken place between Prince Harry and the royal household.
The Duke of Sussex’s office claimed Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace had been informed in advance of his recent trip to Canada — a claim royal aides are understood to have disputed.
The situation unfolded as Prince William began a five-day visit to Brazil, during which Harry’s team announced that the duke would travel to Toronto to mark “remembrancetide”.
Harry’s office told reporters that “the Palace” had been informed “as a courtesy” before the trip was made public.
According to The Times, neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace received any such message.
When Harry’s office was asked when the courtesy warning was given and to whom, they did not respond.
The guidance that the Palace had been notified was interpreted by some as an attempt to signal that the duke’s trip, involving multiple military-linked engagements, carried a level of royal approval.
One source described the situation as “a bit rum”, claiming that nobody in either household appeared to have received advance notice.

During the visit, Harry met soldiers from the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, of which Queen Camilla is Colonel-in-Chief.
He also spoke to troops from the Royal Regiment of Canada, a role held by the King since 1977.
The duke met veterans at Sunnybrook Hospital and published an essay on his website honouring those who had died in conflict.
However, controversy escalated further on the morning of the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph, when photographs emerged on social media of Harry and Meghan attending Kris Jenner’s James Bond–themed 70th birthday party in Los Angeles, hosted by Jeff Bezos.

Images of the couple posing with Ms Jenner and Kim Kardashian were later deleted. According to insiders, their removal was requested by the Sussexes, although other sources have disputed this claim as untrue.
The report comes at a difficult moment in relations between the King and his youngest son.
After Harry lost his final High Court appeal over his UK security arrangements, he told the BBC he hoped for reconciliation with his family, particularly in light of the King’s cancer diagnosis, saying: “I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Since then, tensions have continued. It has been reported that Harry has written again to the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, about security matters.

Harry’s team accused courtiers of trying to “sabotage” his relationship with the King. A royal source claimed the Palace was “saddened and perplexed” by the allegation.
The late Queen’s remark in 2021 that “recollections may vary” was referenced again by several sources speaking to The Times, who suggested the comment still feels relevant.
GB News has requested comment from both the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace.
