The Duke of York stepped back from public life in 2019

Prince Andrew's accuser, Virginia Giuffre, completed a memoir before her death which will be released later this year, according to new claims.

Reports suggest Ms Giuffre finished writing the autobiography, Nobody’s Girl, more than a year ago.

She took her own life in April at the age of 41, with her family remembering her as a “fierce warrior” who “will always be remembered for her incredible courage”.

The book is due to be published in the US on October 21 and is expected to recount her experiences with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Its release is likely to reignite scrutiny of the Duke of York, who previously reached a multi-million-pound settlement out of court with Ms Giuffre.

Her claims of sexual assault have never been tested in court, and Prince Andrew has consistently and strongly denied them.

He stepped back from public life following his friendship with Epstein and after a widely criticised television interview in which he insisted he had never met Ms Giuffre.

Ms Giuffre became one of the most prominent victims of Epstein, who died in prison in 2019, and Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence in the US for trafficking underage girls.

According to The Sun, Penguin Random House will publish her memoir. Sources said its release had initially been delayed due to her health issues.

A spokesman for Knopf, a division of Random House, confirmed it would be bringing out the book despite Ms Giuffre previously signing a seven-figure contract with Penguin Press.

The memoir is said to contain further revelations about Epstein, Maxwell and their associates, including the Duke of York.

Ted Doughty from Knopf declined to name the Epstein associates who appear in the book but said Ms Giuffre made no allegations against Donald Trump.

Editor-in-Chief Jordan Pavlin described the work as a “raw and shocking journey and the story of a fierce spirit struggling to break free”.

A US source told the Sun: “Virginia’s family have seen her maligned in life and in death, and they feel very strongly that her whole story should be told.”

The Duke of York no longer holds royal patronages or honorary military roles and now only joins the Royal Family at private gatherings.

On Sunday, he was absent from church at Balmoral, where King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate and their children, Princess Anne and Prince Edward attended Crathie Kirk.

Andrew instead remained on the estate, staying with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, at Craigowan Lodge.

The release of Ms Giuffre’s memoir is expected to bring fresh embarrassment for the Duke, despite her allegations already being widely reported.

A recent poll found that two-thirds of the British public believe he should be stripped of his titles.
