Royal insiders have claimed that the Duke of York's feud with the King about his 30-room mansion is ongoing

Prince Andrew's feud with King Charles over his home Royal Lodge is continuing, as the Duke of York will likely not be allowed to stay in the property indefinitely it has been claimed.

It was initially reported that Andrew had come to an agreement with King Charles about his future in the property.

But palace insiders have refuted this claim, saying it is "unrealistic" that Andrew will be able to stay in the home "long-term".

The Duke of York signed a 75-year lease for his 30-room home in 2003 and continues to live there with his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York.

Andrew is no longer a working royal and his Windsor mansion is also in desperate need of repairs, therefore, many royal fans assumed the duke would be evicted.

Although this has not happened yet, there is nothing to suggest an eviction couldn't happen in the distant future according to insiders.

A royal commentator spoke exclusively to GB News about why Andrew was in "no position" to make a move against the monarch during crunch talks about the Windsor home.

Richard Fitzwilliams compared the situation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who recently were forced to vacate their UK home Frogmore Cottage.

After the Duke of Sussex released his memoir Spare in January 2023, which included several attacks on the Royal Family, the couple were sent their marching orders by the King.

Fitzwilliams argued that the Duke of York was in a very different situation, which helps explain why he was allowed to remain in Royal Lodge, despite no longer being a working royal.

The commentator claimed: "Andrew is hardly in a position to do anything of the kind [release a scathing memoir].

"Andrew is not a working member or a senior working member, nor ever will be my opinion.

"But he has to live somewhere. He wanted to live there, he's got a lease there, and he can do the repairs, so that is that."

It has been reported that the Duchess of York is the person who is funding Andrew £2million to repair Royal Lodge.

A friend of Fergie said: "It is true Sarah has a vested interest in Andrew continuing to live at Royal Lodge, as it is where she stays when in the UK.

"But it is more than that, this is about Andrew’s pride. Andrew has always stood by Sarah throughout her various past failures and she sees this as her chance to do the same," they told The Mail.
