Mike Tindall has spoken candidly about London’s changing atmosphere after describing the city as “grumpy” during a new interview in Australia.
The comments came after his wife, Zara Tindall, opened up on her success with Team GB at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The royal won a silver medal in the team equestrian event at the London Games, which was presented by her mother, Princess Anne.
Zara and her husband, Mike, have travelled to Australia for the Magic Millions Carnival, and the couple sat down to discuss their sporting backgrounds.

The mother-of-three spoke about her time with Team GB, saying: “It was all about your individual performance and collaborating that together as a team.
“I loved riding for Team GB, I loved being on that team and in a team atmosphere. It is so different to your day-in and day-out professional career.
“It’s where you want to be, and where you want to aspire to be.”
The Tindalls then went on to speak about how they felt during the build-up to the 2012 Games.
Zara continued: “We were all a little bit worried about the location, in Greenwich, building up to it.
“But during, it was amazing because more people could come and see it, more people than ever watched Eventing, Dressage and Show-Jumping than ever would have because it was so accessible.
“It was in such a great location, and the noise was unbelievable for an equestrian event.”

Mike added: “The atmosphere of 2012 was incredible. You think about London now, it’s grumpy, but during the 2012 Olympics, everyone was great, the volunteers were amazing.
“The backdrop of the dressage was amazing.”
Zara concluded by saying: “Having that many people in one place was incredible. I always loved going into the dining hall in the Olympic village and all those people from everywhere globally, there for one reason.”

The Olympic silver medalist was also asked by Jacob Bethell during his Ashes Test Match special on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Do you still saddle up?” to which Zara replied: “A little bit.”
Following her silver medal triumph at the 2012 London Olympics, she was named the inaugural Magic Millions Racing Women Ambassador.
She sported a new look as she arrived in Australia for the event in an eye-catching shirt dress.
