The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary today

Meghan Markle has marked her seventh wedding anniversary with Prince Harry by sharing a personal mood board on Instagram filled with previously unseen photographs.

The Duchess of Sussex posted the collection of intimate snapshots yesterday, offering royal watchers a rare glimpse into the couple's relationship milestones since they began dating in 2016.

The carefully curated board features early dating photos, engagement memories, wedding mementos, and family moments with their children Archie and Lilibet, documenting their journey from royal romance to their current life in California.

In her heartfelt Instagram caption, Meghan wrote: "Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories.

"Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story - we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!"

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex married at Windsor Castle in May 2018, with their anniversary post highlighting key moments from their relationship.

Among the treasured mementos displayed was a piece of paper featuring handwritten lyrics to Ben E King's "Stand by Me" - the song that was performed at their 2018 wedding ceremony.

One of the earliest photos in Meghan's collection showed the couple posing for a selfie taken in London in 2016, when they first started dating.

Another intimate snap captured a shirtless Prince Harry and Meghan watching elephants during their holiday to Botswana, which served as their second date.

The mood board also included a previously unseen photograph taken on the day Harry proposed to Meghan in 2017, with the Duchess labelling the group 'engagement photos' in her cursive handwriting.

The images show the couple lovingly gazing into each other's eyes after she said 'yes'.

Controversially, Meghan also displayed what appears to be a photo of her coat of arms approved by the late Queen Elizabeth II when she became Duchess upon her wedding in May 2018.

Meghan worked with the College of Arms to design the coat of arms which aimed to represent her personally and her American roots, before the Queen signed off on it.

The mood board offers a rare glimpse into the couple's royal life before they stepped down as working royals in 2020.

One of their final engagements as senior royals was the Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall in March 2020.

One of the most intimate photos in the collection was an image of their son Archie's ultrasound scan, which the couple first shared in their 2022 Netflix series as they discussed their desire to become parents.

For the first time, Meghan also shared a photo of Prince Harry with newborn Archie taken on his birthday, April 6, 2019.

Both Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet feature prominently on the board, with one picture from 2022 showing the siblings sharing a sweet hug.

Another shows the family of four enjoying a tea party in what appears to be the backyard of their Montecito mansion.

The mood board also features a sun-soaked snap of Harry and Meghan sharing a kiss while posing in front of palm trees, apparently from a recent family getaway to Mexico.

Also pinned to the board was a photo of the couple taken in Norfolk during what appears to be a visit to Holkham Bay - the Sandringham beach frequented by Prince William and Princess Catherine.

The Norfolk beach was featured prominently in Kate's video confirming she had completed a preventative course of chemotherapy last September.

The mood board also included 'before' and 'after' photos apparently taken outside Frogmore Cottage, their former royal residence. The images show Harry and Meghan in casual outfits before changing for the Mountbatten Festival concert.

For the event, Meghan wore a striking red full-length £1,295 Safiyaa dress, paired with Simone Rocha earrings and red Stuart Weitzman heels.

Prince Harry attended in his role as Captain General of the Royal Marines, wearing mess dress uniform complete with medals from his two tours of Afghanistan.

The collection also featured silhouettes of the couple kissing, dramatically backlit by the setting sun.
