The Oscar winner and the Duchess have maintained their relationship primarily through messages, suggesting a modern friendship that transcends physical proximity despite both women living in the same Montecito neighbourhood.
Paltrow firmly dismissed online speculation about tension between herself and the Duchess. "I don't like that, when people try to pit women against each other," she stated during the summit.
This echoes her previous comments to Vanity Fair in March, where she insisted she would "never" view Meghan as competition.
"I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there's always more than enough to go around," Paltrow had said.

When asked about potentially appearing on season 2 of Meghan's Netflix series, "With Love, Meghan", Paltrow seemed enthusiastic.
"Sure! Why not? You never know. I don't bake that well, but I can always try," she admitted.
The comment suggests Paltrow would be open to joining the Duchess's cooking and gardening programme, which launched in March alongside Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The pair previously addressed rumours of tension in a playful Instagram exchange.

After a fan asked Paltrow about "the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have," the actress responded: "I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever."
The camera then turned to reveal Meghan sitting at the same kitchen table, both women appearing confused by the alleged rivalry.
Paltrow spoke warmly about the Montecito area where both she and the Sussexes reside, suggesting it provides common ground for their friendship.
"I think, in its way, it's just like a small town. It's very serene, and I think it's just a much quieter frequency than a big city," she told People. "It's really nice."
