The celebrations for the Sussexes' anniversary went long into the day

Meghan Markle has shared more photos with Prince Harry of the pair looking loved to mark their eighth anniversary.

The duchess had already shared unseen photos from the couple's grand wedding in Windsor Castle back in 2018 earlier today.

But this evening, Meghan shared the Sussexes' lavish anniversary celebrations, including a delightful lemon elderflower cake bearing four candles.

The Duke of Sussex, clad in grey tracksuit bottoms and a blue polo shirt, presented his wife with the cake, as they sang the well-known "Happy Anniversary" jingle.

Harry's gift to his wife was a statue depicting two penguins standing arm in arm, a touching reference to their engagement celebration.

Meghan let out an excited screech while unwrapping the present, reading Harry's card addressed to "the one and only".

"When momma and poppa got engaged we had a party with all of our friends and we said everyone had to wear an animal onesie and we were penguins," it read.

Reacting to the card, Meghan said: "We were penguins because we are together for life."

"Thank you to this amazing flight crew for all the love yesterday," Meghan wrote. "Appreciate all your memories and kind words @british_airways".

Meghan had been returning from her brief visit to Geneva, where she criticised social media and warned there could be a link to excessive use and child anorexia.

Earlier this morning, the duchess released never-before-seen wedding photographs, including images from their first dance at the Frogmore House evening reception.

Their 2018 nuptials at St George's Chapel attracted an estimated global audience of 1.9billion viewers.

Behind-the-scenes shots captured the official portrait session and Harry raising a toast as his bride, radiant in her bespoke Givenchy design, watched admiringly.

The Duchess of Sussex posted a separate collection featuring intimate moments from the ceremony itself, including a tender exchange between the newlyweds immediately following their vows.

Some pictures had previously appeared in the couple's 2022 Netflix documentary, though fresh images were included in the release.

Meghan captioned both posts "Eight years ago today," acknowledging their "wonderful" photographer Chris Allerton.

The couple's wedding at Windsor Castle attracted a star-studded guest list that included Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, and Sir Elton John.

Less than two years after they glamourously tied the knot in Windsor, however, the couple had welcomed the birth of their first child, Archie, sensationally quit the Royal Family, and upped sticks to Montecito, California.

They still reside on the West Coast of America with Archie, seven, and daughter Lilibet, four.
