For Christmas Day the Duchess of Sussex outlined her vision of an unhurried celebration spent entirely with her family

Meghan offered subscribers of her lifestyle brand As Ever an intimate look at her family's festive celebrations through an email newsletter sent on Christmas morning.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, detailed how she, Prince Harry and their two children spent the holiday at their California home.

Prince Archie, now six years old, and Princess Lilibet, four, were at the centre of the family's Christmas traditions.

The message provided a rare window into the Sussex household's approach to the festive season, with the duchess sharing both their Christmas Eve activities and her aspirations for a relaxed day with loved ones.

The duchess revealed that the family had opted for dim sum as their Christmas Eve feast, a departure from more traditional fare.

"Last night, I was nibbling the remnants of our Christmas Eve feast (dim sum this year), wrapping a few last minute gifts, and tip toe-ing down the stairs with my husband to make sure 'Santa' had enjoyed his cookies and 'the reindeer' had eaten their carrots anything to maintain the morning magic of Christmas through our children's eyes," she wrote.

For Christmas Day itself, Meghan outlined her vision of an unhurried celebration spent entirely with her family.

"I plan to spend today cuddled up with my family maybe pajamas all day, some Scrabble or Sequence (or Candyland for the kids), music playing, candles flickering, dogs snoring, endless grazing; the laughter, the sidebars, the deep breaths (you know the ones), the fun, and the memories," she continued.

"From my family to yours - Happy Holidays!" she signed off in her festive message.

The duchess had previously showcased her festive preparations in her Netflix programme With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, which aired on December 3.

During the hour-long special, she demonstrated crafting Christmas crackers for her family, a tradition she adopted from her time living in Britain.

Each cracker contained personalised items: a love letter, chocolate and hat for Harry, hamburger-themed treats for Archie, and a lavender roller ball for Lilibet.

"Living in the U.K., it's just such a big part of [the culture over there]," she explained to hospitality expert Will Guidara.
