Tan France has offered a revealing insight into Meghan Markle’s brief royal life after recalling that the pair bonded over their time in the UK

The Queer Eye host was seen in the second season of Meghan's Netflix series With Love, Meghan

The presenter said he found Meghan warm, attentive and easy to speak to, describing their time together on set as genuinely enjoyable.

“I absolutely loved it, she couldn't have been kinder,” he revealed.

The pair filmed for a single dad, Mr France said, and conversation naturally drifted onto life in the UK.

“Meghan had obviously spent some time in the UK, and I'm from the UK, so we had stuff in common; we're both moms and we just talked about our kids, it was that easy,” he said.

France was also asked about Meghan’s As Ever parcels, the lifestyle packages she has sent to a circle of high-profile friends.

Although he had not received one of those, he revealed that the Duchess had sent something else entirely.

“No, but she did send me something else and I'm not going to say what, but she sent me something much more personal, and it was lovely,” he said.

Netflix describes With Love as a fresh take on traditional lifestyle television, with Meghan sharing “personal tips and tricks” and promoting a sense of playfulness rather than polished perfection.

For the Duchess, the series is one part of a growing slate of projects undertaken since stepping away from royal duties in 2020.

France admitted that his Queer Eye co-stars had been unaware he was filming with Meghan, and said his own mother remained largely unfazed by the entire experience.

He revealed: “My mum doesn't watch western television, so other than an interview on the BBC, she's never seen any of my shows and so I don't think she cared about With Love, Meghan!”

Meghan revealed earlier this week that her Netflix series would be returning for a Christmas special.

She took to social media to announce the news, saying: “Embrace traditions and make new ones this holiday season. With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration arrives December 3rd on @netflix.”

The post was accompanied by a new photo of the 44-year-old in a green dress and with a glimpse of her holiday table settings.

In a statement released earlier this year, it reveals what to expect from the holiday special, as it confirmed: “This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration.

“Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home,” it continued.

“It's a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”

Meghan revealed at Fortune's Most Powerful Women event in Washington, DC the special was “a really good one”.
