Meghan Markle appeared to deliver a quiet answer to online criticism as she shared new footage from her and Prince Harry’s night out at Dodger Stadium, including a photo with Magic Johnson.

This came less than 24 hours after fans complained about the Sussexes' seating arrangements at the game.

The Duchess of Sussex posted a picture of herself and Harry smiling alongside Magic and Cookie Johnson on her Instagram story on Wednesday, followed by a video captioned “Date night.”

The video showed Meghan in a white shirt and a Los Angeles Dodgers cap, sampling a hot dog and walking through a display of baseball memorabilia.

Meanwhile, Harry appeared in a matching cap and jacket, laughing for the camera from their front-row seats.

The footage was filmed during Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, October 28.

The Blue Jays beat the Dodgers 6–2, levelling the best-of-seven series at two games each.

Toronto’s Vladimir Guerrero Jr hit a two-run homer off Shohei Ohtani, shifting the momentum back to the visiting team ahead of Game 5 in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Sussexes’ presence at the stadium was widely covered after images emerged of them sitting in the first row beside the Dodgers' dugout.

However, fans soon turned their attention to who was sitting behind them.

The couple’s prime seats, reportedly worth tens of thousands of dollars, placed them ahead of two of Los Angeles’s most revered sports figures — Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax and Lakers icon Magic Johnson, who is also a part-owner of the baseball team.

Supporters expressed their frustration on social media, questioning why the Sussexes were positioned ahead of the local heroes.

One fan wrote: “Why the hell are they in front of Sandy?”, while another said: “They need to leave.”

Another fan commented: “Magic Johnson is royalty,” calling for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to move from their seats.

Others took a more positive view, with one saying the royal appearance gave the game “the royal seal of approval,” and another adding: “Dodgers uniting the world one hat at a time.”

It remains unclear whether Meghan and Harry purchased the seats or were invited as VIP guests by the team.

Meghan’s latest Instagram post, however, appears to undercut the backlash.

The smiling photo with Magic and Cookie Johnson suggests there was no tension between them, despite the fan outrage that followed Tuesday’s game.

The image adds a new layer to the story, showing a cordial moment between the couples that appears to quieten the criticism that erupted online just a day earlier.
