Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has delivered sharp criticism of Meghan Markle's latest business venture during an appearance on GB News, quipping "From Palace to Pinot, the rebrand continues."
The Duchess of Sussex is launching a rosé wine under her As Ever brand, prompting Schofield to remark: "The Duchess is now dabbling in drinks with her ever-expanding As Ever brand which is fitting, because she has been whining for years."
The commentator added a particularly pointed observation about the product's serving suggestion. "Word has it, it's best served chilled, like her relationship with the British Royal Family," Schofield said.
When asked if she had sampled the wine, Schofield joked: "If she has watched my commentary, I would imagine there would be something extra in it. I value my life."

The rosé wine, set to launch on 1 July, is described as a Napa Valley blend featuring "soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish."
The product represents the Duchess's first alcoholic offering under the As Ever brand, which she relaunched on Friday alongside restocked items and new products including orange blossom honey and apricot spread.

According to the brand's description, the rosé arrives "just in time for summer entertaining" and joins what Meghan describes as "a curated collection" that began with preserves made in her home kitchen.
The wine's launch places Meghan alongside other celebrity winemakers such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, whose Château Miraval rosé achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success.

Schofield revealed that the wine venture was originally planned under Meghan's American Riviera Orchard brand approximately a year ago. "We heard about this about a year ago and it was supposed to come to fruition under the American Riviera Orchard brand but as we've seen, it has evolved into As Ever," she explained on GB News.
The royal commentator suggested that Netflix's involvement may have been crucial to the project's progress. "She claims she's partners with Netflix. I assume they have the nice connections that helped get this up and running because everything seems to stall," Schofield said.
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has previously expressed support for the venture, stating he's a "big fan of Meghan" and believes "her influence is underestimated." The streaming giant plans to feature As Ever products in its forthcoming retail stores.
The wine announcement comes as As Ever's second restock sold out within an hour on Friday, with Meghan posting on Instagram "Sip sip hooray!" to celebrate the milestone.

The sold-out products included herbal teas, crêpe baking mix, shortbread cookie mix and flower sprinkles, which Meghan recently claimed she uses on her children's packed lunches.
The brand's initial April launch saw all products sell out within 45 minutes, followed by months of silence attributed to supply issues.
