Meghan Markle’s latest move to becoming an influencer has been laid bare as the Duchess forges a new career path, according to a royal commentator.

Kinsey Schofield joined Patrick Christys on GB News America to discuss Meghan’s latest exploits.

The Duchess was spotted making a cameo appearance in an advert for her powdered “wellness” latte brand.

Christys remarked that Meghan has suffered a “fall from grace”, evidenced by her relatively low-key return to acting.

Schofield concurred with the sentiment, adding: “She is trying to turn all of this media attention into free press for her coffee company.”

“She’s trying to look more likeable and silly and she’s looking like somebody who is trying to be an intern while wearing $400 sunglasses”, she added.

“She’s having a tough year and I think that what you saw in the ad was Meghan the influencer.

“What else is she capable of doing at this point?”

In a scathing rant about the Duchess’s cameo appearance, Schofield branded the move “condescending”.

“I think this is Meghan trying to have the last laugh”, she said.

“She is financially invested in this coffee company and after months of terrible headlines, she is trying to have the last laugh.

“The media is starting to actually call her and her husband out for the first time this year.”

It comes after Meghan and Harry spent their fifth Christmas in a row away from the Royal Family.

The couple recently returned from a glitzy holiday in Costa Rica, but despite reports of an apparent olive branch, relations are seemingly too strained for a reunion.

Insiders have claimed that the couple spent Christmas at their Montecito estate in California with their two children after their two-week break.

The Sussexes along with Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, spent the day at their family home where they were said to be joined by friends and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.
