Jack Quaid has revealed that sharing the screen with Meghan Markle on his forthcoming film Close Personal Friends was "insane."

Speaking at The Boys season five premiere in Rome last Thursday, the actor discussed the production before highlighting his fellow cast members.

“Yeah, no, it was insane,” he said about working alongside the Duchess of Sussex, before pivoting to discussing the main cast.

He continued to tell Entertainment Tonight: "The main cast of it is myself, Brie Larson, Henry Golding and Lily Collins, which is just an incredible group of people to be a part of.

"And every day, we went to set, and we just tried our best to make each other laugh."

He characterised the project as more comedy-driven than a traditional romantic comedy, describing it as a story centred on two couples.

The Duchess of Sussex will appear in the film as herself in a cameo role. She was first observed filming in Pasadena, California, back in November.

According to a source, Meghan appeared "very relaxed and happy" during production. "She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth," they noted.

The project represents a significant milestone for the former actress, marking her return to the screen after an eight-year hiatus.

She departed the legal drama Suits in 2018, the same year she wed Prince Harry.

A studio insider described her involvement as "a massive moment" that "signifies a return to doing what she truly loves."

Following their marriage, the couple relocated to Santa Barbara in 2020 after stepping away from royal duties, and have since become parents to Prince Archie, now six, and Princess Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess secured a lucrative multi-million-pound deal with Netflix that same year through their production company, Archewell Productions.

Their output has included the documentary series Harry & Meghan in 2022 and Meghan's lifestyle programme With Love, Meghan earlier this year.

However, Netflix chose not to extend their contract last year, with reports suggesting the decision reflected shifting priorities at the streaming giant.

The company also ended its partnership with Meghan's lifestyle brand, As ever, earlier this month.
