Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised for "trying to steal the spotlight" from Princess Kate after releasing a teaser clip for their new polo documentary.
The clip came just hours after the Princess of Wales released a "poignant" video detailing her recovery from an undiagnosed form of cancer.
GB News understand that there is no evidence to suggest that the timing of the Netflix announcement was planned around Kate's video.
Speaking to Isabel and Ben, Royal correspondent Kinsey Schofield said: "I think it's the worst possible coincidence.
"I think that if Netflix's PR team were as good as they're paid to be, knowing that Harry and Meghan got $100,000 for their deal, they should have seen that video and known that it was time to pull that information and release it at a different date.
"I felt like it looked very vulgar and opportunistic to release it after such a compelling and intimate message from the Princess of Wales."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
GB News host Ben Leo said: "The fact that they didn't do that makes some people think that it was deliberately put out to quell the sparks of this announcement."
She responded: "I understand why a lot of people do feel that way because we have seen one-upmanship from Harry and Meghan in the past.
"For instance, when the Princess of Wales announced, and thrilled us all, that she was going to be at Trooping the Colour within hours, one of Meghan and Harry's friends posted her dog biscuits on Instagram and then it blew up.
"There are definite examples where it feels like Harry and Meghan are trying to steal the spotlight. It's unfortunate. It's especially unfortunate when this is such a beautiful video."

In the emotional three-minute clip, shot by trusted videographer Will Warr, the Princess of Wales can be seen frolicking in the Norfolk countryside alongside her husband and three children.
The video - which contains a number of shots of the Waleses enjoying the forests, fields and beaches of the historic East Anglian county - is overlaid with Kate's voice as she speaks out on her treatment's progress.
Kate tells listeners how the last nine months had been "incredibly tough for us as a family" and notes the importance to herself and Prince William of being grateful and reflective - but it's her message to cancer sufferers which brought the emotional video to a close.
She said: "The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.

The princess also shed light on the possibility of making her grand return to public engagements over the next few months - and her sign-off to those diagnosed with the condition struck a chord with her audience.
Kate finished her video with the words: "To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey - I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand.
"Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright."
