Royals fans were also lobbied behind under fire royals who attended Sandringham for Christmas

Lady Louise Windsor was seen at the Royal Family Christmas celebrations and made a subtle nod to King Charles upon her return to Sandringham.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s daughter made her return from her final year of studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

The 22-year-old borrowed a nude-coloured coat from Duchess Sophie for the occasion, as well as a feathered Jane Taylor hat, LK Bennett heels, and a top-handle box bag.

But it was the scarf she had chosen to wear that caught the attention of onlookers. It appears to be a limited edition accessory sold by the King’s Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.

The limited edition scarf features a Prince of Wales check, layered over an enlarged Shepard check, and is made of 100 per cent Ultrafine Merino wool with the colours “inspired by the natural beauty of Highgrove".

Sales from the scarf are being donated to The King’s Foundation.

Lady Louise has followed in the steps of many of her relatives who focus on being eco-friendly. She regularly borrows clothing from Sophie’s wardrobe instead of buying new items to wear.

In 2020, she and her brother, James, Earl of Wessex, also helped out during the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean with their parents on Southsea Beach in Portsmouth.

Duchess Sophie and her then 16-year-old shared their concerns about the resurgence i single-use plastic and the lack of official advice on how to dispose of it.

"Everything has got worse this year because everyone has gone back to non-reusable, non-recyclable plastic cups," Lady Louise remarked at the time.

While Lady Louise made an appearance during the traditional Christmas Day walk to St Mary Magadelene Church, fans were also welcoming Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, who were believed to not be showing up to the annual celebration.

However, royal fans rallied behind the sisters when they were seen, with fans showing an outpouring of support on social media.

A royal fan who attended said she was “so glad” Princess Beatrice came out to greet well-wishers as the princess walked to church with the Royal Family.

The supporter, Karen Anvil, posted a video on TikTok showing Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi encountering members of the public outside St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate.

In the clip, Princess Beatrice appeared to mouth: “That’s very kind, thank you!”

Ms Anvil wrote alongside the post: “SO GLAD she came! Look at her hands, she was so anxious. She is extremely underrated. Wonderful royal!”

In the comment section, she added: “God she was brave, really anxious. I clocked her fingers and called out.

“I told her she looked beautiful and was glad she came, I meant it. She is a really lovely woman and her husband is always so nice.

“Everyone was so happy her and her sister came, regardless of whether you want to believe that or not. There were no boo’s or inappropriate comments.”
