The couple's post achieved more than 85,000 likes on social media

King Charles and Queen Camilla have welcomed in the New Year with a unique animation posted on their social media page.

The royals showcased a series of fireworks going off over the top of Buckingham Palace, which then displayed the words "Happy New Year".


The footage was matched with the sounds of cheering and celebrations for the beginning of 2026.

Accompanying the post, the couple wrote: "As 2026 arrives around the world, we wish you all a very happy New Year!"

The post has already garnered 85,000 likes on Instagram, with hundreds of well-wishers celebrating the new year in the comments.

The couple's New Year message was closely followed by the Prince and Princess of Wales' New Year post, which has achieved over three times as many likes.

Charles and Camilla's animation comes as The King's Foundation, alongside Prime Video, released the first peek at a new documentary focusing on the King's philosophy of "Harmony".

Finding Harmony: A King's Vision will demonstrate how philosophy is put into practice through the work of The King's Foundation.

Set to be released on February 6, the documentary highlights the importance of Harmony to a new audience and spotlights the immediate action required to protect the planet.

It will be narrated by actress Kate Winslet, an ambassador for The King's Foundation, and the trailer includes a first look at new filming by Charles at Dumfries House.

Filming for the documentary began in early 2025 in Scotland, then continued at Highgrove Gardens in Gloucestershire, and travelled across four continents to showcase Harmony projects worldwide.

The trailer provides fans with archive footage and recent interviews with the monarch, capturing his evolving role over the years.

In the trailer, His Majesty explains the importance of looking after nature and the urgent need for action.

He said: "We are nature ourselves, we are a part of it, not apart from it.

"We must put nature back at the heart of the equation.

"Our children and grandchildren will ask not what our generation said, but what it did."

Kristiana Murrin, Chief Executive of The King's Foundation, shared what to expect from the upcoming production.

She explained: "We are so excited for the world to get their first glimpse of Finding Harmony: A King's Vision.

"Viewers will have a front row seat to His Majesty's commitment to protecting the environment and the challenges and triumphs of this personal journey.

"His Majesty's Harmony philosophy is our guiding principle at The King's Foundation, and it's fantastic to have the opportunity to share this thinking with a wider audience."
