Three reasons have emerged as to why King Charles may have hosted Prince Harry at Clarence House on Wednesday.
This week, the estranged father and son met for the first time in over a year and a half at the royal residence in London.
Harry had flown into the UK on Monday amid speculation of a reunion with the King during his four-day visit.
Eyebrows were raised on Wednesday when it emerged the King had flown from Aberdeen to London, bringing him within just a short drive of the Duke of Sussex.

The Royal Standard was then raised at Buckingham Palace, signifying the monarch was in the capital, which appeared to suggest a potential meeting would occur there.
However, Harry was filmed being sped into Clarence House in the back of a Range Rover while the King was fulfilling routine royal duties at the residence.

The father and son then met for "a private tea" that lasted for just under an hour, Buckingham Palace would later confirm.
Clarence House had been chosen for the reunion between the feuding father and son for a number of reasons.
Primarily, the London residence offers a more intimate setting for personal family matters as it is the King and Queen Camilla's main home in the capital.
On the other hand, Buckingham Palace serves as the monarchy's administrative centre and functions primarily as a working building for official duties.

Clarence House also carries particular emotional weight for the King, who has previously discussed cherished memories from his youth spent at the property.
In 2003, the residence was bequeathed to Charles when he was Prince of Wales by the Queen Mother, with whom he shared a close bond.
“(Clarence House) has a lot of sentimental value,” Rachel Avery, HELLO! Magazine’s Homes Editor said.
“The monarch has even spoken about his fond memories of spending time there as a child,” she added.
As well as the emotional significance of the setting for Wednesday’s meeting, practical considerations also had to be considered.

King Charles has not yet taken up residence at Buckingham Palace due to major refurbishment works scheduled to continue through 2027, according to the palace's yearly Sovereign Grant report.
The ongoing construction work at the Palace would therefore have likely compromised the discretion required for such a sensitive moment between the King and his youngest son.
The meeting appeared to have been a success, with a spokesman for Prince Harry declaring: "He’s obviously loved being back in the UK."
They continued, it had allowed the duke to spend time "catching up with old friends" and "colleagues".
Harry was also said to have greatly appreciated: "Being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him."
