It might only be August, but Highgrove's online shop declares 'it's time to spread the festivities'
King Charles's Highgrove estate is selling Christmas goodies with four months to go until the festive season, it has emerged.
The King's country residence in Gloucestershire has opened the floodgates to prospective present-buyers through a range of luxury items online.
It might only be August, but Highgrove's online shop declares "it's time to spread the festivities" as it offers up a range of gifts - ranging from tea towels to £300 "fireside companion sets".
The site declares: "It's the most wonderful time of the year and it's time to spread the festivities to every corner of your home with a selection of our great Christmas items.

"Serve up Christmas dinner with our beautifully embroidered tea towels, and dress the dining table with our exclusive Highgrove Champagne flutes and wine glasses.
"Plus, get your Christmas meal off to the perfect start with our luxury handmade plastic-free crackers."
In keeping with Charles's much-publicised environmental passions, customers at the Highgrove shop can snap up a sextet of "festive firelighters" fashioned from pinecones and soy wax - an "eco-friendly, natural alternative to traditional firelighters", the site says.
Prepared present-purchasers can also find tea towels, jigsaw puzzles and a litany of engraved glasses on the website - alongside a "sumptuously plush" merino wool Union Jack throw.

But the King isn't the only royal turning heads with their online ventures.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had raised eyebrows with his Banda furniture collection - a touch more expensive than the goods on offer at Highgrove, with some of Princess Beatrice's husband's household items priced at nearly £100,000.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Meghan Markle is eyeing up an imminent launch for her American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand.
People magazine reported that the duchess had been "busy working behind the scenes" on the brand - which it said was "slated for later this year".

However, it's unclear whether Meghan will have her wares lined up in time for Christmas.
Though former staff at the Sussexes' brand Archewell have claimed she is struggling to find a CEO for American Riviera Orchard, a source dismissed this to People.
Back at Highgrove, however, the King appeared to have pipped his daughter-in-law to the post on one of her brand's culinary offerings earlier this summer.
King Charles launched his £25-per-jar Highgrove Royal Estate Honey at the start of July, which sold out before Meghan's own jam - despite popping up on several celebrities' social media feeds in March - reached shelves.
