The King's Coronation will be held on May 6 2023

King Charles will not allow Meghan Markle, Prince Harry or Prince Andrew on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the celebration of his Coronation.

Prince Andrew's daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will also miss out on the landmark finale event on Saturday, May 6 which will include a spectacular fly past over the Royal Family’s headquarters.

The King wants senior working members of the Royal Family alongside him on the balcony as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales's children.

This is to reflect the King's vision for a slimmed-down monarchy.

A source with knowledge of the plans told the Mirror: "The King has been very clear who he wants to represent the monarchy.

"There is little room for sentiment, this is a State occasion, not a family occasion and it is right that only the working members of the family are there at the big public moment."

Another source added: "The balcony moment will be the King’s final presentation of a slimmed down monarchy, which of course will be even further slimmed down once the Gloucesters, Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra finally step away from public life and into their well earned retirements.

"It is a final thank you for them and a nod to their support of his mother during her 70 year reign."

Below is the full lineup expected to be on the balcony:

King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince of Wales, Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis.

Princess Anne, Tim Laurence, Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra.

Meghan and Harry have missed the RSVP date for the ceremony.

It comes as Meghan and Harry have missed the RSVP date for the ceremony.

The cut-off date was April 3 but staff have still not been told whether the Sussexes will attend despite the Coronation now being just one month away.

Royal insiders are said to be "none the wiser" on whether the couple will attend.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on the Sussexes' non-RSVP but an aide said it was unlikely there would be a strict cut-off date for family members as there would be for other guests.
