King Charles has given a "personal donation" to World Jewish Relief, the charity announced, expressing delight at receiving the generous contribution from the monarch who has served as its patron since 2015.
The organisation, which provides aid to those affected by the conflict in Ukraine as well as refugees who have settled in Britain, noted the gift arrived at a particularly crucial moment.
World Jewish Relief said the donation comes "as the conflict continues to escalate and destroy lives."
The King's charitable gesture precedes his annual Christmas broadcast, which was recorded this year in the Henry VII Lady Chapel at Westminster Abbey and will air on Christmas Day.

Since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the charity has delivered assistance to more than 375,000 individuals across nearly 400 towns and cities throughout the war-torn country.
The organisation's activities on the ground encompass mental health services, support for rebuilding livelihoods, and repairs to residences damaged by drone and missile attacks.
Beyond its work in Ukraine, World Jewish Relief has extended help to 14,000 Ukrainian refugees who have made their way to Britain.
These individuals have received assistance with learning English and finding employment, helping them establish new lives in the UK as the conflict in their homeland shows no signs of abating.
The 77-year-old monarch's relationship with World Jewish Relief stretches back more than two decades, beginning with a visit to the Jewish community in Krakow, Poland, in 2002.
Six years later, His Majesty inaugurated the Jewish Community Centre in the Polish city, working alongside the charity to help revive Jewish life in the region, according to Jewish News.
