King Charles has introduced curry to the menu at Sandringham's restaurant for the first time, featuring lamb sourced directly from his Norfolk estate.

The dish, priced at £10, uses meat from the monarch's own flock of 2,000 Aberfield sheep, which are entirely grass-fed on organic pastures.

Visitors to the royal estate can now enjoy the warming meal as part of a new seasonal offering.

The lamb curry has reportedly already become popular with diners, and would likely delight Princess Kate, who has openly declared curry to be her favourite food.

The curry arrives accompanied by basmati rice, poppadums and mango chutney, offering a complete meal for visitors seeking comfort food during the colder months.

This new addition forms part of a special winter warmer selection featuring three main courses introduced this month.

Alongside the lamb dish, guests can choose a beef cobbler topped with rosemary scones, prepared using organic cattle reared on the Sandringham grounds.

Those preferring a plant-based option can opt for a five-bean vegan chilli, which comes served with rice and salad.

All meat dishes showcase produce from the royal estate's own livestock.

The Princess of Wales has never hidden her enthusiasm for spicy cuisine, having previously revealed that curry ranks among her preferred dishes when preparing meals for her family at home.

Beyond home cooking, she has also named it as her top choice when ordering takeaway food.

Her daughter Princess Charlotte shares this passion for curry, making it something of a family favourite in the Wales household.

The new Sandringham offering would therefore likely appeal to Kate's palate, given her well-documented appreciation for the dish that has now found its way onto the royal estate's menu.

Prince William, however, does not share his wife's tolerance for heat in his food, preferring milder flavours instead.

During an appearance on BBC Radio 1's Going Home with Vick and Jordan programme in 2024, the Prince of Wales acknowledged that Kate frequently prepares curry for their family.

Yet he admitted his own limitations with spicy dishes, saying: "I can't do too much spice, I start sweating. It's not attractive."
