London Climate Action Week is running from June 21 to 29 and is Europe's largest city-wide climate festival. The week brings together climate leaders, environmental innovators, Indigenous Peoples and community leaders to highlight successes and drive new ambitions around nature and climate.
The Earthshot Prize, founded by Prince William, searches globally for innovative solutions to help repair the planet. The programme names fifteen finalists annually and awards £1 million to the five best solutions to help them scale and grow.
Beyond recognising winners, the prize works year-round to build public awareness, attract investment and provide mentorship to all winners and finalists worldwide.
London hosted the inaugural Earthshot Prize Awards in 2021, whilst Rio de Janeiro will host this year's ceremony in November.
On June 26, Prince William will meet key attendees at St James's Palace before delivering opening remarks at the session, which aims to restore the planet's future whilst recognising Indigenous Peoples' essential conservation efforts.
