Kate's potential return at a royal event has been deleted from an Army website after Kensington Palace was "not consulted".
The claim on the Ministry of Defence website caused confusion after Kensington Palace had not confirmed Kate's appearance at the event, due to take place in June.
Tickets were being sold for Trooping the Colour with a picture of the Princess of Wales, and a line saying she would be reviewing troops on June 8.
However, the Army did not seek approval from the Palace before publishing the information.

The Ministry of Defence website originally read: "Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present.
"Taking part will be over 1400 soldiers of the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade on Horse Guards for the second of two formal Reviews.
"Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales also includes 250 soldiers from the Foot Guards who will line the processional route along The Mall.
"The soldiers will be inspected by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, Colonel Irish Guards."

The Army likely published details for the event based on the princess's role as Colonel of the Irish Guards, the regiment trooping its colour this year.
But Kensington Palace is expected to confirm details of the princess's engagements, which were recently suspended after she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
Kensington Palace has said the princess is "doing well" but is not due to return to public duties until at least after Easter.

PAThe website also said King Charles III would be reviewing the troops in the final parade on June 15.
His attendance has also not been confirmed by Buckingham Palace, but this section of the Army website will not be altered, according to the BBC.
This comes as King Charles has also stepped back from public-facing engagements after beginning to receive his cancer treatment.
Buckingham Palace has not indicated when he is due to return to full public duties.
