Princess Kate and Prince William have shared a new photo of their two youngest children wearing England shirts as they watched the Euro 2024 final on TV.

Prince William and Prince George watched the Euro 2024 final in Germany on Sunday evening.

Princess Kate and Prince William have shared a new photo of their two youngest children wearing England shirts as they watched the Euro 2024 final on TV.

Gareth Southgate's squad suffered an agonising 2-1 defeat in Berlin as England's wait for a maiden European Championship goes on.


Princess Kate and Prince William shared the photo on their official social media account with the caption: "England, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W & C".

The Princess of Wales took the photograph on Sunday evening after attending Wimbledon with Charlotte earlier in the day.

Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, can be seen wearing England tops with their names and ages on back of the shirts in the photo.

The social media post was signed off with W & C to signal it was a personal message from William and Catherine.

The result means England have lost back-to-back Euro finals under Southgate.

Despite going a goal down within minutes of the second half, England looked to have found a way back into the game when substitute Cole Palmer equalised with a strike from outside the box.

However, Spain hit back in the 85th minute and Southgate's squad could not find an answer in the remaining amount of time.

The Prince of Wales issued a statement on social media following the bruising defeat.

William wrote: "This time it just wasn’t meant to be. We’re all still so proud of you. Onwards @England. W"
