Kate and Prince William are planning a double Christmas celebration for their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, according to a royal commentator.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to spend the festive period at Sandringham with King Charles and Queen Camilla.


Royal commentator Kate Nicholl told GBNews.com that Prince George, Princess Charlotte get the "best of both worlds" during the Christmas period.

The children will spend time with Kate's family as well as enjoying the traditional royal Christmas.

Nicholl said: "The royals tend to follow tradition when it comes to Christmas.

"I think we will see the Waleses at Sandringham with the King and Queen and the extended Royal Family members.

"What the Waleses have managed to do is have the best of both worlds.

"They do the traditional royal Christmas, then they have Christmas with Kate's family.

Scobie adds that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did send presents for William and Kate's children.

The royal author wrote in Endgame: "They say deaths and births can bring battling families back together, but neither have helped the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex.

"In the wake of the Queen’s death, the brothers remained in their own separate corners.

"Over the Christmas holidays that followed, not a single message was exchanged (though gifts were sent by the Sussexes to George, Charlotte, and Louis)."
