The Princess of Wales made her last public appearance on July 14

Princess Kate is awaiting medical advice from her doctors ahead of making her next major public appearance.

The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and has been receiving preventative chemotherapy treatment.

So far in 2024, the royal has only made two public appearances.

The first came on June 15 at Trooping the Colour alongside her children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte 9 and Prince Louis, 6.

The second came almost exactly a month later on July 14 during the men's singles final at Wimbledon.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier told The Sun that the Princess of Wales may be hoping to make another public appearance at the Olympics this week in Paris but it will depend on the medical advice she receives.

Dampier said: "I’m sure Kate would love to go to Paris with William to watch some events but whether she does or not would depend on the advice of her doctors.

“It was great to see her at Trooping the Colour and presenting the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon but she will be pacing herself and not doing too much too soon because of her cancer diagnosis.

“She is still undergoing treatment and is in recovery so she needs to be careful.

“Large sporting events are of course a breeding ground for viruses and there is a lot of Covid around at the moment so she would not want to get that."

Defeated Wimbledon finalist Djokovic provided a rare insight into Kate's health following his conversation with the royal last month.

The tennis star said: "I've said to her that it is very nice to see her in good health. She seems to be in good health.

"I know that she and her sister have played tennis for a very long time.

"So they truly respect, admire the game. They also understand tennis, which is great.

"It's wonderful to have that kind of support from the Royal Family."
