Two teenagers died on Friday afternoon when their vehicle plunged from a bridge onto the M1 motorway, colliding with a minibus travelling below.
The fatal incident occurred at approximately 1.30pm as the blue car was heading along Gilmorton Lane towards Lutterworth in Leicestershire, according to police.
The vehicle left the road bridge and fell onto the southbound carriageway, striking a white Fiat Ducato minibus just before junction 20.
Both young occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services including Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service responded to the collision, with the motorway remaining closed for several hours during forensic investigations.
Four occupants of the minibus sustained injuries and were transported to hospital following the collision.

Three women continue to receive treatment for injuries that are not considered life-threatening, whilst the male driver has since been released from medical care.
Leicestershire Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have been travelling on Gilmorton Lane or along the M1 in either direction close to junction 20 around the time of the incident.
Officers are particularly keen to obtain any dashcam recordings from motorists who were in the vicinity, and are urging anyone who observed either vehicle to come forward with information.
