Princess Kate has made a breathtaking appearance wearing a blue dress from Catherine Walker at Trooping the Colour today.

The "Bria" dress coat contains the following description: "A deep aquamarine wool coatdress with ivory contrast lapels and cuffs. Also seen here in guards red and black."

In addition, Kate accessorised with the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch and earrings that belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.

The Princess of Wales travelled in an Ascot Landau, a four-wheeled luxury carriage with a roof that could be lowered, alongside her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Also in attendance at Trooping the Colour today are King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, Timothy Laurence and the Gloucesters.

Princess Charlotte, 10, matched her mother in a similar blue dress with a sweet white bow in her hair.

Meanwhile, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, seven, wore matching red ties in a show of family unity.

Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 60, wore a beautiful green dress as she travelled alongside Sir Tim Laurence, Princess Anne's husband.

Her daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, was not present due to her university studies.

Trooping the Colour, also known as "The King’s Birthday Parade," is a military ceremony where the colours (flags) of the battalion are carried (or 'trooped') down the ranks to teach soldiers to recognise them.

Since 1748, this parade has also marked the Sovereign's Official Birthday, so a celebration can be held in the summer weather.

King Charles's real birthday is on November 14, which explains why a celebration is instead held in June.

Kate's appearance at Trooping the Colour in 2025 comes after her grand return to the ceremony last year.

The mother-of-three had spent the first half of 2024 recuperating due to cancer treatment.

Last year, Kate wore a repurposed Jenny Packham dress that made several nods to Audrey Hepburn's character Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
