Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has offered a rare glimpse into his personal design style, and possibly their home life inside St James’s Palace.
Edoardo is the founder of Banda Property, a high-end design and development company. In a new post on Banda’s official Instagram account, he spoke about his signature approach to interiors.
“We strive to create spaces that express calm and offer a serene respite, especially working within some of the world’s most hectic cities and capitals,” Edoardo said.

The Banda aesthetic, he added, takes inspiration from rural charm but reinterprets it for city life.
“We believe a home should be a sanctuary, meticulously curated to balance beauty and functionality. Our philosophy centres on crafting environments that inspire tranquillity while also embracing the vibrancy of their surrounding context.”
Edoardo’s own home certainly sits within one of the busiest cities in the world. He and Beatrice live primarily at St James’s Palace in London, in a grace-and-favour apartment.
The royal couple occasionally give the public glimpses into the residence during video calls and official engagements.

Another space in the Palace features a burnt orange theme, with a large fireplace, a wedding photo on display and pampas grass in the corner.
While the couple purchased a Cotswold country home in 2021, Edoardo confirmed in 2024 that they mainly use their London base during the week due to school commitments.
In a rare interview with The Times, he explained that the St James’s Palace residence remains their main family home.

The piece noted: “He says he will see the site often when he walks his youngest to school from their grace-and-favour apartment in St James’s Palace and then proceeds to his design studio on the King’s Road.”
Beatrice and Edoardo share two daughters, Sienna, born in 2021, and Athena, born in January this year.
Edoardo also helps raise his son, Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, from a previous relationship. Wolfie lives nearby with his mother, Dara Huang, and attends school in London.
Their family life, though private, appears to blend royal tradition with modern London living, and now, thanks to Edoardo’s design insights, fans have a small glimpse into the atmosphere they’ve created behind Palace walls.
