King Charles was met with protests about his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, as he attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.
Upon entering the iconic venue, the Royal Family were met with placards asking “what did you know?” regarding the scandal surrounding the former duke.
Leader of the anti-monarchy group, Republic, Graham Smith, spoke following the protest: “Charles and William - what did you know about Andrew?
“It's a simple question, but one the royals have failed to answer. It's inconceivable to think that they knew nothing about the allegations against Andrew.

“We need a Royal Epstein Inquiry now, so we can uncover this cover-up. That's why Republic will keep protesting at royal events like today, holding the monarchy accountable.
“Support for the monarchy is falling and Republic is growing. It's now a question of when, not if the monarchy will be abolished.”
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on the morning of his 66th birthday last month.
He was detained on suspicion of misconduct in public office relating to his former role as the UK's trade envoy.
The former Duke of York remains under police investigation and continues to deny any wrongdoing in connection with the allegations against him.

At the time of Andrew’s arrest, His Majesty released a statement outlining his “deep concern” regarding the allegations.
It read: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.
“As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.
