Carole Middleton was pictured holding her grandson amid the family's Easter celebrations.
James Middleton made his return to Instagram on Sunday after stepping away from the platform throughout Lent, marking the occasion by posting a collection of family photographs featuring his two-year-old son Inigo.
The 38-year-old, who is the younger brother of the Princess of Wales, took an extended absence from social media.
"We are back," he wrote in his Easter Sunday post. "Many of you have been asking if I am ok. I have been absent from social media for a while. The truth is, this Lent I decided to give up social media (and it was wonderful)."

The images offered a glimpse into the Middleton family's countryside Easter celebrations.
One photograph captured young Inigo wearing a charming pair of dungarees while standing atop a stone wall, surrounded by the family's beloved dogs.
A video clip showed the toddler pedalling his bicycle along a rural lane as his mother, Alizée Thevenet, jogged alongside him, one of their pets on a lead.
Perhaps the most touching moment came in the final image, which depicted Carole Middleton sharing a reading of The Tale of Benjamin Bunny with her grandson.

Mr Middleton went on to encourage his followers to consider stepping back from their online presence.
"Sometimes we don't fully realise the pressure social media puts on us until we take a step back," he reflected, recommending others try disconnecting for "a week, a month, or even longer."
He concluded by expressing appreciation for those who had reached out during his hiatus, writing: "Anyhow... we're back! Alizée, Inigo, the dogs, and I are wishing you all a very Happy Easter and thank you for checking in on me."
Supporters responded warmly, with one commending his openness and noting that "spending time with people and dogs you love is definitely far more important."

William gave a wave to well-wishers upon arrival during the Royal Family Easter Sunday service
| PAWhile Mr Middleton enjoyed a quiet family gathering, his sister Catherine joined the wider Royal Family for the traditional Easter service at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, with King Charles and Queen Camilla leading the congregation.
Mr Middleton first encountered his French-born wife, Ms Thevenet, at a London private members' club in 2018.
Speaking to Hello!, he reflected on that meeting: "If that moment hadn't been seized, I wouldn't have met my wife, I wouldn't have my beautiful son."
The couple married in 2021 in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France, with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children among the guests.
