Kate beams as she steps out to support England just days after ‘evil’ attacks on Princess of Wales

The Princess of Wales travelled to the Brighton & Hove Albion Stadium to cheer on England as they defeated Australia 47-7.

It was Kate’s second public appearance since returning to royal duties after a seven-week break.

The Princess of Wales and Prince William undertook a joint engagement at the Natural History Museum on Thursday.

The royal debuted her new blonde hair during the public appearance, and despite the overwhelmingly positive reaction to her new look, some trolls took to social media to attack the royal.

Sam McKnight, 70, who previously styled Princess Diana’s hair issued a message on Thursday hitting out at those criticising the Princess of Wales.

He wrote: “I am shocked, horrified, dismayed and disgusted by all the nasty comments about the Princess of Wales today.

“A woman's hair is very personal to her, it's armor, defence, confidence and so much more.

McKnight continued: ”I cannot believe how evil and lacking in any kind of empathy are the comments, the majority made apparently by other women, attacking a vulnerable other young woman, who has no choice, by dint of who she married and the role she took on, to bravely face the public.

“I'm sure she would rather be away from the public arena.

“She has brilliantly and quietly, unselfishly represented our country, the soft power we still have as a nation.”

On Saturday, Prince William also attended a Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Group Stage match.

Prince William is the Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union and was pictured at the Sandy Park stadium in Exeter on Saturday afternoon.

The royal watched on as Wales suffered an agonising 28-25 defeat to Fiji in a thrilling match.
