The show will form part of an additional 14 hours of coverage on the People’s Channel

GB News’ flagship US programme, The Late Show Live, will broadcast for the first time next week.

Launching at midnight on Monday September 22, the programme marks an historic new chapter in the story of Britain’s number one news channel.

The show will form part of an additional 14 hours of coverage on the People’s Channel, and will provide the latest news, cutting-edge analysis, and sharpest insights direct from the United States of America.

Broadcasting from a brand-new GB News studio near the White House, the programme will be anchored on Monday to Thursday by Bev Turner, who was alongside Donald Trump on Air Force One during his visit to the U.K. this week.

From Friday through to Sunday, Ben Leo will take over as presenter. Ben was one of the last British journalists to interview Charlie Kirk.

Bev said: “The decisions made in Washington aren't just shaping America, they're shaping Britain too.

"From migration to global security, from crime to health, whatever happens in the White House today will be felt in your town or city tomorrow.

"That's why the Late Show is live from Washington, DC, cutting through the politics to show you what it all means for Britain. We can’t wait to get started.”

Ben added: “It’s been my dream to work in America since I was a little boy. I’m so excited to be fulfilling that now with GB News especially under one of the most explosive and revolutionary administrations in US history. I’m excited to be at the heart of it.”

Earlier this month, GB News celebrated its expansion into the United States with an exclusive launch party in Washington DC.

The event, held at the iconic Ned’s Club, drew more than 500 VIPs from US politics, American business, and global media.

Among those addressing guests was White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who said: “GB News is going to be bringing a lot more common sense to the great people of the United Kingdom.

"You share the values this administration holds dear: free speech, that men cannot be women, secure borders we don’t want illegal aliens invading our countries.

"We want to protect the integrity, democracy, and culture that make our countries two of the greatest in the history of the world. I really look forward to continuing to work with the team at GB News.”

Nigel Farage, who also spoke at the event, added: “To have a media channel like GB News prepared to take on the wokery, the left-wingism, the negativity, the managed decline to have a news channel that believes Britain can be great again is so important.

"You might have heard that phrase before, but we must believe that we can make Britain great again, and that's the mission that I've been on. That's the mission that we've been on. I really look forward to continuing to work with the team at GB News.”

Sir Paul Marshall, GB News investor, told guests: “There are more than 500 of you here, including 11 members of the US Cabinet.

"That, for us, is extraordinarily flattering but it’s also a sign of how important tonight is in terms of what’s going on between our two countries.

“Four years ago when we launched, every TV channel was progressive and the BBC was a state behemoth distorting the entire landscape.

"That was a huge challenge but also a huge opportunity, because 65 per cent of the population was completely uncovered by the news channels.

"That’s why they’ve responded to us and now, four years on, GB News is the number one TV news channel.

“The United States has an incredibly important role to play in the future of Britain. You provide us with hope and inspiration. We want to shine a light on what’s happening here.

"President Trump is a controversial figure, particularly in Europe. There are many naysayers. But there are many others who want to hear and understand what you’re doing in this country.”
