Police descended on London Bridge station this evening as passengers were evacuated from the platforms following reports of a "man behaving suspiciously".
British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed that officers had been called to the busy station at 6.30pm, with Thameslink also sharing that police were at the station responding to an incident.
"Officers were called at around 6.30pm today (November 3) to reports of a man behaving suspiciously on a train from St Albans," BTP said.
"The train was stopped at London Bridge while officers carried out a full search of the train and platform as a precaution."

"No one matching the description was found and while officers are satisfied there is no risk to the public, CCTV enquiries are ongoing," the force added.
Around 15 minutes after the warnings were put out the rail operators confirmed passengers were able to safely use the station again.
However, trains could still be delayed as a result of the incident.
Thameslink said: "We are aware that London Bridge station was evacuated for a short period of time.

"We apologise for any worry caused to customers and confirm that the station has re-opened for safe travel through this station.
"Some trains may be delayed or their calling pattern altered so please check journey planners or station information boards for updated platform and train information."
Commuters quickly took to social media to share their confusion.
Writing on X, one commuter said: "Thameslink train was searched by armed police and sniffer dogs but they won’t tell us anything (on the train)."

Another commuter said: "Something going on at London Bridge.
"Lots of police and people leaving in hurry from platform 6/7."
Amid the speculation, Southern Rail said: "The police have confirmed that it is safe to travel through London Bridge.
"Some service changes have been put in place which means your train may no longer call at your destination."
National Rail has also said that Thameslink services at London Bridge will be delayed until 8pm.
National Rail has now listed the routes impacted following the evacuation and heavy police presence at London Bridge station this evening:
Between Bedford and Gatwick Airport / Three Bridges / East Grinstead / Brighton, and between Cambridge and Brighton, and between Luton and Rainham (Kent) / Gatwick Airport / Three Bridges, and between West Hampstead Thameslink / Kentish Town / London Blackfriars and Rainham (Kent), and between Peterborough / London Bridge and Horsham, and between West Hampstead Thameslink / London Bridge and East Grinstead, and between Kentish Town and Gillingham (Kent).
The chaos comes amid calls for tighter security on Britain’s railways after 10 people were stabbed in a terrifying knife attack on an LNER train from Doncaster to London on Saturday.
Anthony Williams, 32, appeared in court today charged with 10 counts of attempted murder.
He was also charged with another count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in connection with an incident at Pontoon Dock DLR station in the early hours of the same day.
