President Joe Biden has defended his record and insisted that his memory is "fine."
It comes as the 81-year-old has made another gaffe, this time mixing up the leaders of Mexico and Egypt.
It comes as Special Counsel Robert Hur said in a report that he opted against bringing criminal charges against Biden for taking classified documents, citing among mitigating factors the president's "poor memory."
In remarks to reporters after the release of the report on Thursday, Biden called Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the leader of Mexico.

In the press conference, Biden said: "I know what the hell I'm doing! My memory has not gotten worse. My memory is fine. Take a look at what I have done since becoming president.
"No one thought I could pass any of the things I got passed. How did that happen? I guess I just forgot what was going on..."
Biden also criticised the report's inclusion of the claim that he couldn't remember the timing of his son Beau's death. Hur's report said: "He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died."'
The President responded saying: "There's even reference that I don't remember when my son died. How in the hell dare he raise that? I don't need anyone, I don't need anyone, to remind me of when he passed away. Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, wasn't any of their damned business."

It is not the first time Biden has confused world leaders, as he mistakenly referred on Wednesday to a conversation he had with Angela Merkel in 2021 as having taken place with the late German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who died in 2017.
On Sunday, while talking about the 2021 G7 summit, Biden mixed up French President Emmanuel Macron with the late Francois Mitterrand, who was in power from 1981 to 1995 and died in 1996.
However, his most likely opponent in this year's presidential election, Donald Trump has also made his fair share of mix ups, including confusing Republican opponent Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, the California Democrat who was speaker of the House of Representatives when he was in power.
Last year, Trump incorrectly identified Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as the Turkish President. The leader of Turkey is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Biden added: "I'm well meaning and I'm an elderly man, and I know what the hell I'm doing. I'm the president and I put this country back on its feet.
"I don't need his recommendation it's totally out of [order]."
