Vladimir Putin has issued a warning over Elon Musk as he sat down for a landmark interview with Tucker Carlson.
In the interview, which lasted for just over two hours, Putin said there was “no stopping” the Tesla and SpaceX CEO following his confirmation that the first human had received a brain implant from Neuralink.
Last week, Musk claimed the microchip-implanted subject was “recovering well” and had a “promising neuron spike” during tests.
Putin said: “There are already reports Elon Musk already had a chip implanted in the human brain in the US.”

Carlson interjected: “What do you think of that?”
Putin continued: “I think there’s no stopping Elon Musk. He will do as he sees fit.
“Nevertheless you need to find some common ground with him, search for ways to persuade him.
“He's a smart person. I truly believe he is.
“So you'll need to reach an agreement with him because this process [brain implants] needs to be formalised, and subjected to certain rules.”

In the run-up to the landmark interview, Carlson thanked Musk for allowing the interview to be released on Twitter without being suppressed.
Carlson said: “Elon Musk, his great credit, has promised not to suppress or block this interview once we post it on his platform X, and we’re grateful for that.
“Western governments, by contrast, will certainly do their best to censor this video on other less principled platforms because that’s what they do.

“They’re afraid of information they can’t control, but you have no reason to be afraid of it.
“We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview, but we are urging you to watch it.
“You should know as much as you can and then, like a free citizen and not a slave, you can decide for yourself.”
