The President has continuously denied any wrongdoing in relation to Jeffrey Epstein

President Trump has reacted to the latest release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, claiming he is now "absolved" from the case.

Over three million documents of the late child sex offender, including 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, were published by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) on Friday.

One of the files appeared to contain unverified tips about the President obtained by the FBI in August last year.

These tips included allegations a 13 or 14-year-old girl was forced to perform oral sex on him more than three decades ago, claims which the White House has fiercely denied.

In the complaint, the girl claimed she bit Mr Trump while performing the sex act and was "allegedly hit in the face after she laughed" about it.

The file is said to have disappeared within hours of being published, which the DoJ later said was "down due to overload" before being put back online.

Previously, the DoJ warned the files, which were ordered to have been released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, contained "untrue and sensationalist" claims about the President.

Now, Mr Trump has responded following the fresh revelations.

Speaking to the media in a tuxedo on Air Force One, the President said he was now "absolved" from any accusations relating to the files.

"I didn't see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it's the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left," he told reporters.

Mr Trump had a historic relationship with Epstein, describing him as a "terrific guy" who liked women "on the younger side" in 2002. However, following the sex offender's death in 2019, he claimed they had a "falling out" and hadn't spoken in 15 years.

It comes as Sir Keir Starmer publicly called on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify on his knowledge about convicted paedophile Epstein.

The latest batch of files included photos of a man, believed to be the former Duke of York, looking at the camera while a woman, whose face is redacted, is lying on her back between his arms.

The individual, thought to be Andrew, is barefoot, wearing jeans, a white polo shirt, and a silver watch, as he stares into the camera lens while crouching over the victim.

After being asked whether Mr Mountbatten-Windsor should apologise for his association with the disgraced paedophile, Sir Keir said: "I have always approached this question with the victims of Epstein in kind.

"Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority. As for whether there should be an apology, that’s a matter for Andrew.

"But, yes, in terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked to do that.

"You can’t be victim-centred if you’re not prepared to do that."
