Gender ideology campaigner Chris Elston has claimed that the far-left has "taken hostage" of the Democrats in the US, as the transgender debate continues to grow across America.
Speaking to GBN America, Elston detailed the growing cases of schools treating pupils as another gender without their parent's knowledge, and how children as young as 12 are undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
This comes as US President Joe Biden sparked outrage on Easter Sunday and was accused of failing to mark the Christian holiday and instead recognise Transgender Day of Visibility.
The President said transgender people "deserve and are entitled to the same rights and freedoms as every other American".

In a discussion on GBN America, host Patrick Christys says the debate on transgender both in the UK and the US is "toxic", and many engage in it "through fear of cancellation".
Patrick told Elston: "We've had examples in the UK such as JK Rowling - she's too big to cancel. You can't cancel JK Rowling, she's massive, she's wealthy, she could buy Scotland if she wanted to.
"But loads of other people I know have lost their jobs, loads of other people I know have lost access to their kids. Loads of other people I know have been taken to court or vilified online."
When asked if the threat of cancellation "stops people saying what everyone knows to be common sense", Elston said cancel culture is "certainly a part" of the transgender debate.

Elston explained: "It's honestly overly simplistic to just blame it on one thing.

"When it comes to these leftist political parties all across the West, the far-left has essentially taken hostage the entire party, and if any of the more moderate ones were to speak up, yes, they're going to be canceled.
"They're not going to get funding that they need for re-election either. But the only people that get approved to run in these races in the first place for these leftist political parties are the radicals."
Elston also claimed that the "entire left" is "being taken over by radicals" who are pushing gender ideologies into the party debates.
He told GBN America: "You get this situation where humans are social creatures, and for them to go against their tribe is a pretty rare thing."

He added: "Most individuals won't do it, and even intelligent people go along with this. And you would think, well, why don't these intelligent people figure it out?
"Well, what they actually do is they use their intelligence as a way to justify this even further, because they don't get dare to go against the group that they're a part of, and that just helps exacerbate this even more."
Patrick agreed with Elston, and reflected on the recent Cass review in the UK, the latest development of the transgender debate.
He stated: "Labour had been pushing this stuff for years. And then the Cass review comes out, and they all rowed back on it and said how pleased they are that this report has come out. This whole conversation has got so toxic when they were the ones who were making it unbelievably toxic in the first place."
