Eagle-eyed fans believe the US President is wearing make-up to conceal bruising on his hand

New photos of Donald Trump have resurfaced health fears after he welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to his Florida home on Sunday.

Hawk-eyed internet sleuths believe the US President appeared to have covered his bruised right hand with a thick layer of makeup.

The 79-year-old was photographed outside Mar-a-Lago with what look like heavy concealer on his hand as the two leaders prepared to discuss a 20-point framework aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

Mr Trump told reporters the meeting would be "good for Ukraine, good for everybody."

However, it is not the first time President Trump has been spotted with plasters or cosmetics covering his hands, which has sparked ongoing speculation about his well-being.

The White House has repeatedly dismissed concerns about the President's hands, putting it down to his busy schedule meeting the public.

"The President is literally constantly shaking hands," press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on December 11.

She added that Mr Trump takes a daily aspirin, which "can contribute to the bruise that you see."

His doctor, Dr Sean Barbabella, has previously said the marks stem from "minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin," insisting the President "remains in excellent health".

The White House has also batted away speculation after President Trump appeared to close his eyes during Cabinet meetings, with Chief of Staff Susie Wiles simply saying: "He's fine."

However, social media users were not buying the White House explanation.

"You can clearly see the bruising on Trump's left hand here, as well as the makeup that covers the bruising on his right hand. Will the White House try to tell us that's from 'shaking a lot of hands' too?" one person wrote.

Others took a darker view, with one user posting: "These are definitely IV bruises. Whatever they're saying about it, they're lying. But they're giving him something regularly into the veins."

This is not the first time Mr Trump's hands have drawn attention.

On Christmas Eve, both hands appeared discoloured while he celebrated at Mar-a-Lago with wife Melania and her father Viktor Knavs.

Back in July, the White House revealed the President had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency following concerns about his swollen ankles and bruised hands.

An echocardiogram showed no signs of heart failure or kidney problems.

President Trump himself has brushed off questions about his fitness, contrasting himself with his predecessor Joe Biden.

Earlier this month, Mr Trump accused journalists who questioned his health of committing "sedition, maybe even treason" in a lengthy Truth Social post.
