GB News star Martin Daubney has questioned Sir Keir Starmer’s plan to tighten Britain’s ties with Germany.
The Prime Minister is keen for more joint British-German operations to stop migrant boats reaching northern France.
Speaking on GB News, Martin questioned both Starmer and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, arguing they both have poor records on the matter.
“We had there Sir Keir Starmer and Olaf Schulz, two leaders united in their total inability to control their own borders”, he said.

“Germany is the most porous of any member state in the European Union. Over 2.15 million illegal immigrants have entered Germany since 2012.
“They can’t control their own borders. How can any form of deal with Germany, the worst offender in terms of its inability to defend its borders, possibly precipitate into a downstream benefit for the United Kingdom?

GB News Home and Security Editor Mark White pointed out there is “no slowdown” in the number of migrants making the perilous journey across the British Channel.
“Quite the opposite”, he added.
“Our sources are telling us that thousands of migrants are encamped right along northern France from Dunkirk down to Calais.

Keir Starmer wants positive relations with Germany

The Prime Minister has been under pressure to lay out his policy on illegal migrant crossings since taking the reins of power.
The Labour leader moved to scrap the Rwanda scheme shortly after securing the keys to 10 Downing Street.
The policy was introduced by the previous Government with the idea of sending migrants who had travelled across the Channel illegally to the African country.
Speaking from Berlin earlier today, Starmer joined the German Chancellor to reaffirm his “smash the gangs” plan - a reference to the groups facilitating the crossings by providing boats.
According to the Prime Minister, closer ties between London and Berlin could help with data gathering.
The pact came about as it was revealed 20,000 migrants have crossed the English Channel illegally so far this year.
The grim milestone was reached this morning with hundreds more exploiting the fair weather conditions to make the trip.
