Staggering poll reveals key areas where Reform could establish new heartlands

Polling experts asked respondents a number of questions about Farage's party, including if they had favourable or unfavourable opinions about Reform UK.

Reform UK's overall favourability sat at -29 per cent, with just 27 per cent of respondents providing favourable feedback.

However, Reform UK could look to establish new heartlands across Brexit-backing parts of England and Wales.

The survey revealed 29 per cent of respondents in Wales were favourable to the populist party.

A staggering 30 per cent of respondents in the Midlands and the North of England were also positive about Reform UK.

The poll indicated that Reform UK performs marginally better with men and progressively attracts more support as voters get older.

However, the poll also indicated that Reform UK continues to pose a fatal threat to the Tories.

It revealed that 41 per cent of 2024 Conservative voters hold favourable views about Reform UK.

The figure with 2024 Labour voters stands at just nine per cent, with a further eight per cent of Liberal Democrats also falling into that column.

Farage is hoping to propel Reform UK forward in the upcoming local elections and will hope support in the North of England and Midlands could prove vital.

He said: "If we get next May right - we can produce a result which is truly astonishing."

Farage added that the local elections will be huge for the party as he hopes to take a number of county councils and make inroads in Brexit-backing heartlands like Doncaster in South Yorkshire as well as Thurrock in Kent.

Despite the positive polling data, Reform UK only managed to receive 16.9 per cent of votes in Wales on July 4.

The populist party's support stood at 18.9 per cent in the East Midlands and 18.1 per cent in the West Midlands.

Reform UK also received 19.9 per cent of votes in the North East and 16.5 per cent in the North West.
