The Chancellor was reacting to the freeze on Fuel Duty at a petrol station in Leeds when the heckling began

Watch the moment Chancellor Rachel Reeves is accused of "running the country into the ground" by a furious man in Leeds.

Ms Reeves was attempting to offer her reaction to the decision to freeze the 5p hike in Fuel Duty when a van driver launched his attack.

Speaking to the media outside a petrol station in Hunselt, the man begins by shouting "get Starmer out" at Ms Reeves, before entering the petrol station's kiosk.

Making light of the situation, Ms Reeves jokes: "So he doesn't know the news about the freeze in fuel duty? I think what I should do is go and tell him!"

Upon leaving the shop, the angry Briton began to shout at the Chancellor again, yelling: "Get Keir Starmer out!"

Appearing to offer support for Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, the man then shouted: "Nigel Farage! Go on, Nigel!"

Ms Reeves let out a sigh at the remark, becoming increasingly disgruntled with the man's interruptions.

The Chancellor took a second break from speaking to the press to allow the man to depart the petrol station, but the Briton continued to heckle her.

Ignoring the heckle, the driver tried again for a response, poking the Chancellor further: "Look at Rachel Reeves there with a smile on her face, you're ruining the country!

"Get Keir Starmer out!"

Ms Reeves finally hit back at the heckler, telling him how much she loves Britain.
