Some familiar faces joined the People's Channel last night as GB News' Labour Conference party

A party mood swept Liverpool last night. As the dust settled on the second full day of the Labour Party Conference, thousands of delegates poured in and out of pubs and bars across the city.

GB News' own party attracted dozens of faces, perhaps somewhat familiar with the People's Channel's loyal viewers.

Labour MPs Alex Ballinger, Natalie Fleet, Barry Gardiner, Peter Swallow, Jo White, David Smith, Sally Jameson, Catherine McKinnell, Oliver Ryan, Henry Tufnell and Stephanie Peacock all crammed into a bustling bar just a stone's throw from the ACC.

They were joined by a trio of Labour peers, with Lord Cryer, Lord Mann and Baroness Berger all making an appearance.

Ms Peacock, who serves as a Sports Minister and represents the Red Wall seat of Barnsley South, was flanked by GB News stalwarts Christopher Hope and Mick Booker as she delivered her speech to the revellers in the crowd.

She described her attendance as a "pleasure" and championed the People's Channel's efforts to highlight stories from across Britain's great nations and regions.

Mr Swallow and Mr Ballinger even took a step away from the bar to face a grilling from GB News hosts Martin Daubney and Bev Turner.

Defending Sir Keir's plan to introduce digital ID, Mr Ballinger told GB News: "It's going to make it much easier for you to open a bank account, to buy a house, to rent a house, to go through all of those interactions that you have with the Government at the moment that are quite complicated and difficult."

Meanwhile, GB News also spotted a massive Angela Rayner blunder at this year's Labour Party Conference.

Conference guides have been hard to come by this year.

Without getting too caught up on the Prime Minister's digital push, most people have been left at the mercy of the Labour Party Conference app.

However, after GB News got its hands on one of the conference guides, it was clear why they have been hard to come by.

Splashed across page seven, a sun-swept Angela Rayner is beaming. Her two-page welcome message to Labour members accompanies her potrait, along with some out-of-date titles.

"Angela Rayner, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of the Labour Party," the now backbench Labour MP's message concludes.

Ms Rayner, who resigned from the frontbench earlier this month over her stamp duty scandal, opened her message by saying: "It's wonderful to be back in the great city of Liverpool for Annual Conference."

But the truth is that Ms Rayner is nowhere near Liverpool.

"I’m sad not to be alongside you all in Liverpool this year, but I’m with you in spirit - and will continue fighting for working people," Ms Rayner said after Steve Reed's keynote speech.

Eyebrows were also raised at the Labour List karaoke after ex-Anti-Corruption Minister Tulip Siddiq issued a defiant message with her song choice.

The Hampstead & Highgate MP held her arms aloft as she belted out Survivor by Destiny's Child.

It would have been an unusual song for Ms Siddiq at the best of times, but given the 43-year-old is currently the subject of a corruption trial in Bangladesh, it is perhaps even more surprising.

Following her appearance, Ms Siddiq said: "Loved being DJ at Labour List karaoke last night!

"First song was Survivor …because I’m a survivor and fake news won’t kill my spirit."

However, slightly further out from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool's party scene.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting was on manoeuvres. In an attempt to see off the challenge in his Ilford North constituency from pro-Gaza independent Leanne Mohamad, Mr Streeting was last night invited to schmooze at the Equi Reception.

The Health Secretary would have spent his time discussing the role of Muslims in modern Britain, which, given his rumoured tilt for the Labour leadership, might not come as much of a surprise.

Mr Streeting is certainly giving his centre-left message a broader appeal at the Labour Party Conference this year, with Andy Burnham's enormous climbdown putting him in pole position to succeed Sir Keir in the future.
