A Labour MP has been forced to contact the police after receiving death threats following the release of a video by a neighbouring parliamentarian.
Anna Dixon, who represents Shipley, stated she has filed a police report after Robbie Moore, the Conservative representative for Keighley and Ilkley, published a clip on Wednesday examining her position on proposals for grooming gang investigations.
The threats appeared as direct responses to a Facebook post by Mr Moore, which questioned Ms Dixon's stance on establishing a national investigation into grooming gangs.

Dixon reported that the online responses included both violent threats and misogynistic attacks.
Moore's two-minute video alleged that Ms Dixon had been dishonest with residents about her motivations for opposing a national grooming gangs investigation.
The recording featured excerpts from a BBC Politics North appearance and constituent correspondence, with narration claiming Ms Dixon "isn't telling you the truth".
The Conservative Shadow Environment Secretary's post accompanied the video with text suggesting Ms Dixon had characterised the inquiry proposal as a "political stunt" whilst actually opposing such investigations from the beginning of her parliamentary term.

Accompanying the video, Mr Moore wrote on Facebook: "Shipley’s Labour MP Anna Dixon is 'misleading public' on grooming gangs inquiry.
"Anna is telling constituents she voted against an inquiry because it was a 'political stunt'.
"But a closer look at the facts shows Anna has been dismissing calls for an inquiry since day one…..Your voice - or just another voice protecting Bradford’s Labour Party?"
Shortly after the release of the video, Ms Dixon received death threats and contacted the police.
Laying out her side in a Facebook post, she branded Mr Moore's actions as "irresponsible behaviour" by an elected official spreading "blatant misinformation about a colleague".
She highlighted the current security climate facing politicians, referencing the killings of two parliamentary colleagues in recent years.
The Shipley MP stated that Mr Moore had "personally inflamed hatred against me" through his online post and subsequent constituent communications.

West Yorkshire Police are investigating the threats, according to Ms Dixon's statement.
She emphasised that child sexual exploitation should never become fodder for "personal attacks based on party politics".
Mr Moore has defended his video, stating he "utterly condemns any threats of violence" whilst maintaining it addresses "legitimate concerns" rather than constituting a personal attack.

The shadow minister, who disclosed experiencing death threats himself requiring armed police protection at his residence, insisted the content highlighted valid questions about Dixon's public stance on Bradford's inclusion in grooming investigations.
He emphasised his five-year campaign for an inquiry since his 2019 election, asserting the matter transcends political divisions.
Mr Moore cited appeals from abuse survivors and legal professionals for Bradford-specific focus, alongside a Labour peer's explicit allegations of council cover-ups, arguing Dixon's position remains problematic.
He told GB News following the revelation of the threats against Ms Dixon: "Let me be clear, I utterly condemn any threats of violence against elected politicians or anyone in public life.
"I have had armed police in my house at 3am in the morning as a result of receiving threats to life myself, and know exactly how it feels.
"I would urge readers to watch the full video in question, which is not a personal attack and raises legitimate concerns about the MP for Shipley’s public position on a grooming inquiry in Bradford.
"I have been fighting for an inquiry since being elected in 2019, and have been clear that this is not a political issue.
"For too long, elected officials across all levels of the British state, of all political colours, have stayed silent on this issue, and I will not let that stand.
"This is why I recently organised a cross-party letter to the Prime Minister on this issue, signed by 98 MPs from six different political parties, including Labour. Unfortunately, the MP for Shipley was not one of them.
"We are now in a situation in Bradford where victims and survivors and leading child abuse lawyers are desperately calling for a focus on Bradford in the grooming gangs inquiry, with a sitting Labour peer explicitly saying there has been a cover-up inside Bradford Council.
"The fact that the MP for Shipley does not and, from her public comments today, still does not unequivocally support a focus on Bradford in this national inquiry is both a newsworthy and legitimate concern."
In a statement outlining her stance on grooming gangs and justifying her actions, Ms Dixon wrote on Facebook: "We must always put victims and survivors first when it comes to tackling the horrific crime of child sexual exploitation - this issue should never be used to make personal attacks based on party politics.
"Group-based child sexual exploitation, committed by grooming gangs, is one of the most despicable and damaging crimes imaginable.
"I fully support all efforts by Government and West Yorkshire Police to bring perpetrators of these crimes to justice and the work of the local council to protect children and provide support for victims and survivors.
"I have spoken up in Parliament to highlight the work of West Yorkshire Police following a briefing they gave for local MPs.
"I also met with victims and survivors and local advocacy and support organisations including Bradford Rape Crisis at an event organised by the Mayor Tracy Brabin and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime Alison Lowe."
She added: "This is extremely concerning when the video in question features extracts from an email I sent to one of my constituents on August 6, the full text of which includes the statement: 'If the national inquiry deems that another local inquiry is needed in Bradford, this is something I and the Local Authority will fully support.' He has chosen to omit this from his video."
