The Prime Minister met with the US President in Scotland on Monday

Body language expert Judi James has shared her brutal analysis of Sir Keir Starmer's "very submissive" meeting with Donald Trump, branding his performance "comedy gold".

Speaking to GB News, James lifted the lid on the Prime Minister's mannerisms while in company with the US President, claiming he appeared as a "rabbit in the headlights".

Starmer met Trump for their latest talks in Scotland, where the Prime Minister was forced to defend London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan and Britain's demise of free speech.

Delivering her verdict on the performance of Starmer, James admitted she was "crying so hard with laughter I could barely analyse it".

Analysing their first interaction outside the Turnberry resort, James revealed Starmer engaged in "anxiety rituals", particularly upon the mention of free speech in Britain.

James explained: "This is comedy gold, isn't it? You've got Starmer already looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He knew all his corns were going to be trodden on.

"And his anxiety rituals are there, he adopted a fig leaf pose at the start, which is very self-protective."

She added: "But then, as he heard the freedom of speech come up, he did this very strange gesture of brushing the back of his hand.

"Now that's an act of distraction, he was the victim at this point. Then he decides to do incongruent ritual. He puts one hand in his pocket to look casual, he adopts that sickly grin, but then he does this kind of pinched hand gesture. It's a beak turned.

"It's quite contagious, but it implies strong precision, but added to that sickly grin that he was doing it was totally incongruent."

Recalling Keir Starmer's defence of Sadiq Khan when Trump called him a "nasty person", James told GB News that Starmer's body language was "embarrassing" and "completely ignored" by Trump.

James said: "I don't know if you noticed, but Starmer was actually mimicking Trump's body language at that point. He was doing the knee splay, he got the downward steeple, so he thought he was okay at that point.

"Then you can see suddenly his face drops and he does that awful, rather embarrassing, holds his arm out as though to stop Trump, and Trump absolutely ignores him."

Branding Starmer's comments about Khan "sweaty", she added: "We get that rather sweaty comment, he's a friend of mine, but Trump again continued, and the other thing that Trump was doing to him is this kind of thumb jerk that he did to Starmer a few times when Starmer disagreed with him, which is a great putdown."

Offering her analysis of Starmer's reaction to Trump's praise of Nigel Farage, James revealed he became "very submissive", leaning away from the US President.

James concluded: "He kind of goes from out-of-body experience, like his brain's walked out of the room into this kind of schoolboy thing where he leans away. He pulled his tie slightly as well, very submissive body language. And he ended up doing little micro nods, as though he was actually being taught how to win an election.

"When he was told that Farage was a good guy, he literally leant completely away at that point. Honestly, I was crying so hard I could barely analyse it, I was crying with laughter at that point."
