The co-leader of Your Party wrote in The Standard that "Reform and Labour can wrap themselves in as many Union Jacks as they want."
However, Mr Corbyn's apparent understanding of the UK appears somewhat different, with the ex-Labour leader instead drawing comparison to his London seat of Islington North.

St Matthews ward Councillor Aftab Nawaz told Express and Star: "As councillors, we left the Labour Party because of their policies on Gaza, which, unfortunately, have continued and ensured that the British government is complicit in the genocide.
"We left on principle and we’ve held our own at the council. As a group of councillors, we’ve decided to join Your Party as a movement, and we hope in the future, we will be standing as their candidates."
John McDonnell, Labour MP for Hayes and Harlington has issued a warning
|PA
Mr Corbyn's Shadow Chancellor during his time as Labour leader, John McDonnell, warned Sir Keir Starmer's party risked losing backers to the new party alongside the Greens.
The Hayes & Harlington MP said: "The tactic that they’re using at the moment, the strategy they’re using, is the old traditional one from the right- 'don’t worry about those who vote Labour, because they’ll always vote Labour, there’s nowhere else for them to go – so let’s target Reform.'
“It’s a catastrophic mistake because...there is somewhere else to go, both in terms of the Greens and possibly the new party that Jeremy is establishing.
"The more you shift to the right, particularly the racist right, the more you will lose our support and our biggest problem at the moment...is the stay-at-home vote."
