"We have very big, beautiful properties here in Washington, DC. You can see the White House behind me.
"They have architecture which any city would love to have. However, what they don’t have is castles like Windsor, which are thousands of years old.
"And it was a really amazing couple of days, wasn’t it? And you could see, I think, from President Trump that so much of what he does, particularly here in Washington, DC, is high pressure. He is the decision maker. He is having to deal with the press every day, whereas for those few days in England he was the guest, and he clearly loves the UK.
"He has a huge soft spot for particularly Scotland because his mother was born there, and you could see, I think, for those couple of days that he was extremely happy.

"That will certainly be one of the highlights of 2025 for the president and his wife."
GB News host Cameron Walker said: "Yeah, and all of it sparked by this letter that Keir Starmer handed President Trump in the Oval Office, in the White House, something that perhaps the president couldn’t refuse.
"Of course, a Labour Government isn’t necessarily going to get on with a Republican president. But the royal family is that bridge, isn’t it?"
Bev responded: "Yeah, they have nothing in common politically, of course — President Trump and Prime Minister Starmer, nothing really whatsoever

"However, I think because the President does feel such affection for the UK, that political friendship is actually incredibly tight.
"And you can see it when they’re together. President Trump has often said to me personally, ‘I really like your Prime Minister. I really love your country. I want your country to do well.’
"And that royal connection, Cameron, as you say, is such an important part of that, because somebody like President Trump, for all of his seriousness in office, genuinely loves the glamour.
"You know, during his lifetime he was a serious player in New York. And in fact, you see in the Oval Office today — I’ve been in there a couple of times now — the décor, he’s polished it up.
"Let’s just say he likes a bit of gold and he likes a bit of bling. And of course, if there’s one person who can do better bling and gold than him, it’s King Charles at the state banquet.
"Cameron, I’m sure we remember, and the pictures are so extraordinary, where President Trump sat next to the Princess of Wales. The Americans just can’t do that.”
