Nana Akua shared her opinion on Digital ID cards

A disastrous 14 months in Government. You will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have a digital ID.

So instead, Labour has rehashed an old Tony Blair proposition, which they must know is a non-starter, given the number of data leaks and hacks over the last few months alone.

Now the Government wants to consolidate all of your data in one place. Make it easy for fraudsters and hackers. One hack, your life destroyed. Seriously, would you trust the Government to keep your data safe?

The Labour Party conference starts tomorrow. But instead of focusing on solving the small boats crisis, costing millions every single day, fixing the broken NHS, or repairing the mess they’ve made of the economy in such a short space of time, Labour is copying the Tory playbook.

They think changing the leader will fix things. Andy Burnham is apparently on manoeuvres, as is Wes Streeting. Shabana Mahmood and Sadiq Khan are also circling.

I'm not sure how helpful Sadiq will be if he has to negotiate with the leader of the free world.

Donald Trump has said: "The mayor of London is among the worst mayors in the world" and "I think he's been a not very good mayor."

Sadiq Khan's response: "I think, you know, President Trump has shown he is racist. He is sexist. He is misogynistic and he's Islamophobic."

Sadiq, how about you put the interests of the British public first? He just can't help himself be dignified.

Button it and prove him wrong. Because from where I'm sitting, Trump is right. In the meantime, it seems Nigel Farage is living rent free in all the party leaders heads.

Polls show if an election were called today, Reform UK could win over 300 seats. That should terrify Labour and the Tories.

So instead of introducing digital ID cards – which won’t work and only increase state control – why not look at what Nigel Farage is offering, and why millions of voters are flocking to him?

Keir Starmer has achieved the incredible.

He has united Zara Sultana, Ed Davey, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage – all against his ridiculous proposal for digital ID cards.
