Far from fulfilling their pledge to “smash the gangs”, Labour have presided over a collapse of control so complete that 2025 is set to be the worst year on record for Channel crossings. Almost 28,000 people have entered illegally this year, an increase of nearly fifty per cent on last year. As a consequence, Labour have broken the confidence of the public, who can see with their own eyes that the system is failing and that their voices are being ignored.
Communities across the country are being forced to absorb the burden as Labour disperses illegal immigrants into towns and villages with no regard for local safety or cohesion. The statistics reveal what the public already feels.

That is not to mention that the nationalities crossing in these numbers are, on average, many times more likely to commit a crime. Afghans, for example, are more than twenty times more likely to commit sexual offences. And in recent weeks, we have seen asylum seekers charged with the most horrific crimes imaginable.
The scandal of asylum hotels is equally unforgivable. Labour inherited a programme that was driving numbers down. In the nine months before the election, Conservative action cut hotel use by almost half, closing nearly 200 hotels.
At that pace, the use of hotels would not even be in play. Yet Labour pressed pause, allowed the numbers to climb back up beyond 32,000 housed in hotels, and after a year in office, can point to the closure of a measly three hotels. At their rate, it will take 70 years before the public sees relief. Paralysis, and the people footing the bill are ordinary taxpayers.

The collapse in removals has stripped away the last line of defence. Returns of illegal arrivals have sunk to barely five per cent.
Britain has been turned into the ultimate destination for illegal immigration and a place where criminals profit while victims multiply in our communities.
Labour has marched into failure. They chose to dismantle deterrence, and they chose to strip away every barrier between Britain and chaos. And for that choice, the country is paying in crime and in betrayal.
Protecting Britain’s borders and protecting our citizens must stand above every other concern.
The Conservatives’ Deportation Bill makes the position unambiguous. Every illegal arrival and every foreign criminal will be removed, countries refusing to take back their nationals will face visa sanctions, the Human Rights Act will be disapplied in immigration cases, ending the madness of courts blocking deportations on grounds that defy common sense.
And we will go further; we are taking on the legal machinery that has eroded our sovereignty. The ECHR was meant to uphold democracy, but it is now a shield for sex offenders, gang members, and violent criminals.
Our Lawfare Commission will set out how to restore control. If leaving the ECHR is required, we will do it.
There is no middle way. Either Britain takes back control of its borders with the full force of law, or it surrenders them to foreign courts, activist lawyers, and the criminal gangs who profit from our weakness. It is a matter of duty.
Labour have already shown where they stand. We will show Britain where we stand – on the side of the people, the law, and the nation.
